Ammonium Metatungstate Lubricant

Nano tungsten disulfide powder is a new kind of solid lubricant material, it has good lubrication property and is considered as the best raw material for lubricant. Nano tungsten disulfide powder is decomposed under 510 degree Celsius, it serves as lubricant stably under 425 degree Celsius. The decomposition temperature can reach to 1150 degree Celsius in vacuum. Its anti pressure ability is 21Mpa. The radio resistance is better than graphite and MoS2, it can not only be applied in normal lubricant condition, but also under high temperature, high pressure, high vacuum, high load, radiation and corrosion media, thus it is widely applied as lubricant in aerospace and military defense industry.

Ammonium metatungstate as lubricant mainly embodies as: ammonium metatungstate is the raw material of producing tungsten disulfide. Prepare 5g ammonium metatungstate, adding 5ml deionized water, mix it until it solutes. Then adding 15ml stronger ammonia water, mix it under 60 degree Celsius for 20 minutes. Then adding 35ml ammonium sulfide solution, mix it under 60 degree Celsius for 30 minutes. After that, vacuum filtration and use deionized water and absolute ethyl alcohol to wash it for three times. After drying the ammonia tungsten oxide sulfide crystal forms and the producing rate is 45%. Ammonia tungsten oxide sulfide thermal decompose in hydrogen atmosphere happened between 160-450 degree Celsius, firstly it decomposes into WOS2, then it converts into tungsten disulfide.
